At the risk of sounding obvious, here are some of the most important:\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Check weather forecasts before setting off to hike.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t go alone<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Tell someone your intended destination and expected time of arrival<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a small rucksack with warm clothing, waterproofs, food and plenty of water.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u00b4t forget such simple items as: sun hat, protective cream and sun glasses.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Carry a mobile phone with fully-charged battery, a map and, if possible, a compass. They will probably never be used but, when required, are of vital importance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Wear suitable gear, especially footwear: trekking boots or similar are essential, trainers or pumps are to be avoided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong><strong>Autres remarques:\u00a0<\/strong><\/strong>As in the case of the PR LP 3 which it closely resembles, a large height difference is involved entailing a certain amount of exertion. Perhaps for that reason it is usually walked these days in a downhill direction.
